Bransford Musicals

At Bransford Elementary, we produce three musicals each year: a Kindergarten/1st Grade musical featuring original music with students contributing to the script; a 5th Grade musical drawn from children’s Broadway repertoire; and an All-School musical, a junior Broadway production open to any student in grades K–5 who wishes to participate. These productions typically involve more than 200 student performers.

In preparation for the 5th Grade and All-School productions (shown below), I collaborate closely with the theatre teacher. I am responsible for teaching all music for each show, including ensemble parts during full-group rehearsals. I also provide individual voice lessons for soloists outside of regular rehearsal times. In addition, I assist with and lead rehearsals and run microphones and the sound board during performances.
